Hawks got off to a good start this Sunday against West London. It was close and both teams saw several fast breaks, weaving around the oppositions defence. West London scored 2 goals in quick succession and Hawks called a time out to re-group. Although winning 6-4 the gap was closing. A time out was called by Hawks and some great advice from Georgia Leadbetter motivated Hawks to come back stronger and better.
Hawks came back on to show a valiant display of skill and composure. Eventual MVP Lottie Crane, tightened her draw control enabling Hawks to gain quick possession. Great partnership drives came from Emma Tuinema and Katie Townsend to secure a few more carefully placed shots before going into the second half.
With further great play off the draw Hawks went on to dominate the second half, lots of people came onto the score sheet and Hawks really came together to bring the final score to 18-12. Thank you to the number is spectators who came down!
